​ARTISTIC BELIEF STATEMENT

Dance is an intrinsic form of communication, where the body, mind, and soul have no boundaries when trying to express an idea, emotion, or belief. I feel that communication is the key to living a successful life, and that expression should be conducted in the most satisfying way to our own personal being. Dance is my most honest form of communication as it relates to my passion for writing. My work stems from literary, scientific, and scholarly backgrounds, which guides me in my development of choreography. Through my unique creative process, I hope to pass on to my fellow dancers the inclination of using academia as a backbone for the inspiration, development, and production of a piece. In the exploration of the essential values of academia, I aim to continue my personal aspirations and research in the fields of dance, science, technology, and writing.
